Dubliner and Guinness®

Reviewed on Sep. 2, 2008 by Amanda J.
This recipe is so interesting! We love Dubliner and we're beer people so I had to try this recipe! It has a good robust flavor, my only complaint is the bitterness that comes through a bit but I guess you would like that if you love Guinness, and actually the bitterness reminds me of some very sharp cheeses I've had before. I think this would be a five star for many, so I might make it again depending on the crowd. It definately has to sit in the fridge for a while to get really good and it goes a very long way because you only need a little bit on each bite of pretzel. Thanks for the new and interesting recipe!

Best Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed on Aug. 28, 2008 by Amanda J.
This was ok for us. It is a good start with some unique ingredients but for me the flavor just wasn't there. After tasting the salad, I added alot of cracked pepper and a bit more salt. I also like the option of putting in cut-up hard boiled eggs instead of avacados as suggested by another reviewer and next time will do that and add some cooked, chopped bacon. It needs some more seasonings in the dressing, the ranch just disappears into the noodles leaving very little flavor. All in all, I was happy to have found this recipe, I enjoyed many of the ingredients, I will just tweak it next time. Thanks for a new recipe!

Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

Reviewed on Aug. 28, 2008 by Amanda J.
Wow this was amazing! So different and so simple! To avoid sogginess I made sure my bread was all the way dried out (like crutons) and kept all the prepared ingredients separate until the moment we sat down to the table. Just dumped them all together at the last moment, tossed and served. The only change I made was to omit the cucumber and add some chopped fresh mushrooms, flaked tuna, salt and fresh cracked pepper. My favorite part was the whole leaves of basil. The flavors went beautifully and I will make this often!
