Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2008
This was the first time I made my own teriyaki sauce...I usually just use something out of a bottle. No longer! This was so simple and delicious! A little less sugar next time...it was a little too sweet for me. Thanks for a great recipe!

Zucchini Miso

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2008
I love, love, love this! I will definately make it again. I used half zucchini and half yellow squash (just because I like it better) and it was great. I also sauteed the squash combo in just a bit of wok oil for only a couple of minutes before tossing it with the dressing, scallions, cilantro, sesame seeds and nuts. I also used pre-toasted sesame seeds and I thought they were fine! The combination of ingrediants is really fantastic! Everyone complimented it at the dinner table! Thanks for a great recipe!

Easy Vegetarian Red Beans Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2008
this is a delicious recipe! i served it to a table of vegetarians, and everyone really enjoyed it. i used jarlsburg cheese though, rather than gruyere, because it was much less expensive. next time i will add an extra can of red beans, but its great as is!

Coconut Cream Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
Very good - just on the border of too sweet for my taste though. Does remind one of a tres leches cake. Be sure to use the Cool Whipped Frosting and follow other reviewers advice of poking large holes and soaking the cake until room temperature then refrigerating. We could only wait 7 hours to dig in and it was tasty. Bet it will be GREAT tomorrow. Oh and I made this in a bundt pan because I didn't want a soggy bottom.

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
Really good when you want something other than sickening sweet canned frosting. Lot's of different flavor combinations possible. I used this on a Coconut Cream Cake and used white chocolate pudding with a squirt more of the coconut cream instead of the vanilla extract. The pudding takes away the Cool-Whip flavor very nicely.

Amish Meatloaf

Pretty good. The sauce is a little too sweet for us so I think we will cut down the BS next time and we used apple cider vinegar. GOOD STUFF

Spanish-Style Quinoa

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2008
I most recently made this dish as a stuffing for stuffed peppers. I had some salsa I needed to use, so added it while the quinoa was simmering. To bake the peppers, (I only stuffed 3) I stood them in a loaf pan, added condensed tomato soup to the bottom of the pan, and covered with foil, baked at 375 for about a half hour, uncovered and sprinkled with cheese, returned to the oven for a minute, and served with black beans.

Gordo's Good Venison

I really loved this recipe. I did use it with venison...but, I think it would be good with any wild game. I think I will use it on moose steaks next time! Thanks!
