Northeastern USA

The Northeastern United States includes New England and the Middle Atlantic States. Though made up of more states than any other region of the United States, the Northeast is the smallest region. Historically, the Northeast has been America’s melting pot. Through the years, the Northeast has remained a landing point for immigrants. Cities along the Atlantic have become rich cultural stews into which new arrivals add their food traditions. Irish immigrants gave us New England boiled dinner; German immigrants, Dutch oven stews; and Italian-Americans have created a hybrid cuisine that has spread throughout the country. More recently, the culinary influences have shifted as immigration becomes increasingly Asian, African, Middle Eastern, and Caribbean, but the invaluable contributions to the American pantry continue on as ever.

About me:
My father loved to BBQ and used to make the baest Baby Back Ribs I have ever tasted, he would soak them for at least 8 hours in a specail sauce he loved to use. It took me almost three years to get it as good as he would make it, now I use it in almost everything I cook.

London Broil I

Fairly good recipe, but nothing amazing. I made a couple changes: tons of garlic powder instead of the fresh garlic, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to cut the strong soy sauce flavor. I also used low sodium soy sauce and freshly cracked black pepper. Let it marinate overnight, and the results were delicious. Served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed on Oct. 12, 2008 by A.S.G.
My kids loved these cookies! I made them without changing a thing, except to add some pumpkin pie spice to the icing. The cookies were perfect. I was a little worried before baking them because the cookie dough was very soft. They baked up just right, and were done in 9 minutes exactly. Thanks for the recipe!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed on Oct. 12, 2008 by nrsejessica
These were soooo good!! They tasted just like the resturant! I served them for a party & everyone loved them! They were nice & spicy too! The recipe I always used didn't have a breading on them & also used bbq sauce in with the hot sauce which makes them not so spicy! I'm big on spicy stuff so this was awesome!!
